A Prayer for Easter Weekend

There is reason to celebrate!

May this short prayer for the Easter weekend be a blessing to your heart!

Father, let us not enter this Holy weekend distracted. Shift our perspectives as we are invited into the finished work of Jesus Christ on our behalf. May we never take this sacrifice for granted.

This year, take us deeper. You made a way for us to draw near to you. Help us accept this invitation.

Open our eyes and ears, hearts and minds to perceive the deep and rich goodness of God.

Make your home in our hearts. Root us in your love.

Thank you for loving us so much that you were willing to bear the weight of our sins. May we be overwhelmed with gratitude!

We have been:

• Set free from the bondage of sin.

• Forgiven.

• Made brand new

• The old is gone. The new has come.

• Made a joint heir with Jesus.

• Adopted as a child of God.

Let a celebratory praise and worship rise within us that we just can’t hold back. May we really begin to experience “the breadth and length and height and depth of your love.” Amen
